Ryan Hoffman is a former staff member at our agency. Unfortunately, on January 5th, he passed away at the young age of 31. Ryan had been experiencing several different health issues for over a year and a half, and specialists were unable to determine the primary source of his illnesses.
By the time he was transferred to ICU at UNC he was in MSOF Multi-System Organ Failure with his liver shutting down, kidneys failing and on dialysis, intubated barely responsive. He passed due to an undetermined bacterial infection that very quickly manifested his organs and led to severe pancreatitis.
Shayna not only lost her husband, but also her best friend. She is left responsible for paying all of his medical costs, a month total in the hospital, two weeks in ICU, several procedures, surgery, and his funeral. We are raising funds to support this amazing woman during these trying times.
