Meet Carmen and Olly!

Meet Carmen and Olly, they have become best pals ever since Olly moved in a couple of years ago. Carmen owns a decorative plant and flower shop and Olly is Carmen’s assistance dog. Olly was individually trained to help their deaf owners by warning them of dangerous situations. 

There are many types of assistance animals and, for the most part, they are trained to give people with disabilities more autonomy and independence. Now, because of Olly, Carmen feels confident in handling all aspects of her small business’s operation knowing that Olly is there to warn her about potential threats. Also, customers really love him too!

Because of beautiful stories like Olly and Carmen’s, we have decided to extend our support to Canine Companions for Independence and their ongoing mission of training and matching service animals to those living with disabilities and in need of emotional assistance.
